Baby Birds

I peeked into the bird house one day and there were eggs. A day or two later I lifted my grand-daughter up to have
a peek at the eggs and she said "MiMi, there are babies in there".

very cool. Sharon wants to know if that is a standard bluebird house. She is always scared that we might disturb the babaies in ours. thanks for posting.

It is a standard one with the door that leans out. I peeked again today and the little birds were stetching up
waiting on their mom to bring them food. When I slowly opened the door, they hunkered down but I was watching to make sure they didn't fall out. I also heard recently that since birds can't smell, they don't know if you touch the babies but I don't want to touch them. I just like to see them grow. Tell Sharon to watch for the parents though. So far I have been safe but I have heard of the parent birds flying at you to get you away from their nest.

Over the next week I peeked on the babies every few days. They were growing soooo fast. Then one day they were gone!
