Finally got my Harley!

As with many women I have talked to over the last 4 years, I dated a guy with a Harley. At 51 years old, I had never even really thought about being a passenger on a bike, much less owning one myself until I trusted him enough to get on for a ride. Well... within the first 5 minutes I was in love... with the bike and riding that is. LOL
It took me 3 years and lots of wishing, hoping and planning but I finally did it. On May 23, 2007 I went down to Greenville Harley Davidson and paid cash for a brand new vivid black Street Bob. I had a two-up sundowner seat put on so that my old, fat rear-end will be comfy. I also added Vance & Hines pipes so everyone can be warned that I'm on the road and in their vicinity.
I also bought myself a "Razor" motorcycle trailer from Farmer Fabrications out of Blue Ridge, GA. I know, I know. I've heard that a "true biker" wouldn't trailer their bike but I happen to think a TRUE biker will take their bike with them anywhere they can regardless of how they have to get it there! I'm not up for a 600 mile trip on my bike but I sure am ready to take a ride when I can get an hour or two in the wind. If you've never heard of this trailer you really should check it out if you're considering a purchase. The trailer bed actually cranks flat down onto the ground so the bike can be ridden off and on safely and without ramps. Even I can do it. Just type "razor trailer" in your internet search engine and the web page will come up. Gary Farmer is the owner/builder and each trailer is handmade. I'll even let you take a look at my trailer if you ask nicely. LOL
The only thing I want now are saddle bags. A woman has to have a place to carry her "stuff" when she rides. Oh... and if you're wondering what happened with the boyfriend. We technically aren't seeing each other any longer as of March of this year. We're still great friends and I consider him my advisor and "go to" person with questions about bikes and riding though. He was really happy for me when I got my bike and maybe someday we'll take a ride together for old times sake.

And be sure to thank him sometime for the introduction to a great habit!
